BEAT THE BOOKIE: VALUE BETS

DOOMBEN

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 41610

TAP THIS

Race 7, No. 14

Very promising filly who gets to the mile for the first time here. Prepared to forgive the last start middling effort on the cut up Randwick track and assess on her brilliant first up Wyong win. Showed stakes potential last preparation and finds the perfect target here. Looks big overs in early markets.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6.50

BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: 7346x

CAILLEBOTTE

Race 1, No. 7

You had to believe your eyes when the former French import donkey-licked them last start (and the start before!). Getting a nice price at $3 or more and happy enough to take on southern invader Maurus in his first start in Queensland this campaign.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (SuperRacing). Form: 34253

FELL SWOOP

Race 6, No. 1

Looked to have the T.J. Smith won before Chautauqua came from nowhere to snatch victory. Just wins. A high class horse running in a race lacking depth. Just wins.

TAB fixed odds: $1.60

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 14111

FELL SWOOP

Race 6, No. 1

Beaten by superstar sprinter Chautaqua last start in the Group 1 T.J. Smith Stakes and should find this assignment much easier.

TAB Fixed Odds: $1.60

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

Fell Swoop should have the edge on his rivals in ability when he makes his first appearance across the border this weekend.

HAWKESBURY

RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 14042

DUCA VALENTINOIS

Race 2, No. 4

Can set the tone for a successful day for the Godolphin stable. The former European galloper has a touch of quality about him and resumed with an impressive win over 1600m at Warwick Farm earlier this month, descending on Santa Rocks late to win by nearly a length. Duca Valentinois jumps straight to 2100m but that shouldn’t be an issue.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80

NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 21406

AMOVATIO

Race 7, No. 6

Going as well as ever and his run last start when covering ground against Havana Cooler was huge. Wide gate a slight concern but if the track stays sticky it might be the place to be.

TAB Fixed Odds: $13

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 1×032

DANISH TWIST

Race 5, No. 7

Caught the eye when a minor placegetter at Muswellbrook late in May, then charged home to win the 1400m Privincial Championships Final at Randwick on April 9. In peak form now and she will go very close to giving the in-form Kris Lees stable another winner.

TAB Fixed Odds: $5

SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 74405

BEATEN UP

Race 7, No. 4

Only run at this track and distance finished nose second in the Rowley Mile before heading north to win the Doomben Cup. His trials were fantastic before his luckless seventh in the Doncaster Prelude, where he got shut down about 100m out.

TAB Fixed Odds: $9.50

TAB preview: Hawkesbury Guineas67680

A TAB preview looking into Hawkesbury Guineas.

DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 11452

SONS OF JOHN

Race 7, No. 8

Showed his talent when finishing second to Winx first-up last campaign before running third in the Epsom Handicap. Has been given three trials to tune up for return after long break. Great chance in an open race.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

CAULFIELD

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 30403

OREGONS DAY

Race 5, No. 9

Coming off one of the best maiden seconds in history. Mick Price’s filly can make the jump to city class.

TAB Fixed Odds: $9

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 40233

LOYALTY MAN

Race 7, No. 1

Sticking with winning form. He’s won his past two starts impressively at Sandown. Again well drawn and looks a horse going places. $6.50 appeals as nice value.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6

SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 14433

CHARMED HARMONY

Race 8, No. 1

Just pipped by in-form Black Heart Bart over same distance in Victoria Handicap at this track. Freshened up for this and will be hard to hold out.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.10

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

Charmed Harmony looks hard to beat over the 1400m journey on Saturday. Picture: Colleen Petch

MORPHETTVILLE

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 83511

HOWARD BE THY NAME

Race 8, No 2

Tasmanian Derby runner-up who was strong on the line winning the Port Adelaide Guineas last time out. He should be even fitter for here and hard not to like the way he pulled away from rivals on the line last time. The further the better!

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 12412

MART MANOUEVRE

Race 4, No. 7

Talented filly from the Phillip Stokes barn who looks like she’ll relish the step up to the 1400m of the Sires’ Produce. Made very good ground when third in strong Breeders Stakes a fortnight ago and only needs to repeat that effort to figure in finish.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.20
