WHO will make next year’s All-Australian team? If you think you know already, you can put your predictions on the line after TAB released odds for stars from every club.

The bookies are expecting Nat Fyfe — an All-Australian in 2014 and 2015 — to return to his best after missing most of last year with a broken leg. He’s $2.50 to make the 2017 team of the year.

Gary Ablett is a $3 chance to earn his ninth All-Australian jumper. He made the team every year from 2007-14 before injury cruelled his chances the past two seasons.

And TAB expects Patrick Cripps to continue his rise to stardom, installing him a $2.50 chance to make the side — the shortest odds at Carlton ahead of Sam Dochety ($9).

Nat Fyfe will hit the ground running in 2017.

If those players come in someone has to miss out — could that player be Joel Selwood? The Geelong skipper has five All-Australian jumpers in his trophy cabinet and was captain in 2016, but is listed at $3.50 to make the team in 2017. His Cats teammate Patrick Dangerfield is $1.90, making him outright favourite across the competition.

The returning Essendon players are tipped to pick up where they left off, with Dyson Heppell ($3.50), Michael Hurley ($4.50) and Jobe Watson ($5.50) at short odds while Jarryd Roughead ($4.50) is also on the comeback trail for very different reasons.

There is some potential value if high-profile recruits Travis Cloke and Ty Vickery pull off dramatic form spikes at their new clubs — both start at $34. New Tiger Dion Prestia is a better investment at $21 after he was unlucky to miss the squad in 2014 when he was fourth in the competition for disposals.

Looking for a real smoky? How about Gold Coast’s unheralded utility Alex Sexton. He’s the same price as Cloke and Vickery.

“No surprise that Patrick Dangerfield is the man most likely to win selection next year, priced at $1.90, ahead Marcus Bontempelli at $2.25 and Rory Sloane, Patrick Cripps, Gold Coast’s Tom Lynch, Dustin Martin, Lance Franklin, Alex Rance, Eddie Betts, Nathan Fyfe and West Coast’s Josh Kennedy all at $2.50,” TAB’s Nick Quinn said.
